Beauty BlogHey all another busy, busy week in the world of beauty. I did the makeup for Sonya Rykiel’s trunk show at the Dorchester hotel – fresh, pinky sheer cheeks with a touch of gold glitter on the eyes. Trick for getting glitter to stay where you want is to use a touch of eyelash glue – tap a touch of glue on the eyelid with your finger and dust a sprinkle of glitter on top, so its stays on your eyes and not all over your face. And if a few drops of sparkle land on your cheeks, take a strip of sticky tape and press on your skin – it instantly lifts off any unwanted glitter without ruining the makeup on your face. I’ve also been working on a few episodes of Coleen Rooney’s Coleen’s Real Women for ITV2 (airing in February). Coleen is so lovely. In the show you'll get to see me at work too – expect lots of glamour and red carpet looks. My favourite trick for red carpet is to make sure you use a touch of shimmer to the top of the cheekbones – highlighting those babies. It guarantees extra va va voom to your makeup look. The shimmer powders I like are Bobbi Browns Shimmer Brick, MAC loose pigments and Liquid Moon Beam by BeneFit. til next time xxxxxxx
