Aine's BlogHi guys. This week I'll be telling you a little about what I've been getting up to in the world of fashion as well some of the goings from the last week in London town. Last Thursday I was able to use my music skills on the piano again in the new James Blunt music video, 'Love Love Love, directed by the highly creative Kinga Burza. Me and some other musical models were on set for a colourful, Sixties-style shoot. The video was supposed to look like a live studio performance and was inspired by the Beatles' video, so we had to really learn the music for our parts. James Blunt was really friendly, chatting amongst and joking with us models, and the whole day was a lot of fun. The video had certainly succeeded in bringing back that free love vibe of the swinging Sixties as far as we were concerned – and the upbeat chorus kept us smiling and singing 'Love, Love, Love' to each other. On Sunday, I went to Brixton Academy where the UK Bboy (break dancing) championships were taking place. Bboys from all over the world flew in and competed in the mind blowing one night spectacular event. I witnessed the best in the world come together and throw down moves I didn't think were humanly possible! The Russian crew Top 9 took the crown of the best crew in the world, but the show was stolen by Salah's immense body popping performance, that to see live is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Check him out guys! I’ve also been shooting for Sublime magazine at the Baglioni Hotel in Hyde Park, with three other lovely Storm models. We were working with the wonderfully arty photographer Sayaka, using different coloured lighting to create a new mood in each shot. And did a shoot with Alan Clarke for Nylon magazine which was all bright Eighties colours. On Tuesday night I was at Jools Holland Live where Tom Jones and Snow Patrol were among the performers. It also featured the fresh new band, Friendly Fires – they had two drummers and lots of energy and their performance was magnetic. And I was introduced to the sexy Miss Camille O'Sullivan. Her amazing, theatrical performance was totally unique and she had a sensational voice. And ever since, these two artists have been on repeat on my ipod as I’ve dashed through London trying to get to jobs on time! Check out the links below to see their performances on Jools Holland Live.
